Henry Pruitt - Anti-Semite or Senile Old Man?

These words come straight from Henry Pruitt, as quoted in The Bergen Record:

Pruitt said voters should be wary of the challengers’ agenda.

"When you run for the board, the motivation you should have is that you’re concerned about improving instruction and making Teaneck a better school district for all of the kids," he said. "If the school district isn’t serving your kids, what’s your motivation?

"It seems ominous to me that someone would be willing to put in 50 hours a year in terms of meetings to look after someone else’s kids."

So let's get it straight: According to this jerk, the taxpayers who fund the schools who do not have children enrolled in the schools (that means the Jews), are entitled to neither representation on the board, nor a say in how their tax dollars are spent.

Pruitt, by the way, does not have any children in the Teaneck Public Schools; they have all graduated. If Pruitt would practice what he preaches, he would not be running for reelection. I guess the above statement by Pruitt only refers to Jews. He can run despite having no children in the Teaneck public schools... but the Jews can't. So, Pruitt is either an Anti-Semite who wants to keep the Jews out or a senile old man who has forgotten that he has no children in the public schools.

Pruitt has served two terms. Things have only gotten worse. Why on earth should this old man be reelected? Pruitt has made this into a Black vs Jew issue. Shame on him.

How does it mean the Jews? Don't other people, including some of no faith at all, send their kids to private schools?

According to the evidence you presnet, since Dr. Pruitt has no children in the public schools, he is your represenation on the board, along with Mr. Burack and Mrs. Angeli.

I suspect you are well aware of the fact that Dr. Pruitt has grandchildren in the district.

He didn't make this a race or religion issue, you did!

Pruitt did not make this into a black versus jew issue or any other issue YOU did!

Dr. Pruitt DOES NOT have grandchildren in the district -- just the opposite is true.

He has rejected the Teaneck public schools in favor of an alternative charter school paid for by district funds, yet totally independent of Teaneck Board of ED class room instruction, materials, teachers or supervisors.

So he is rejecting the very schools, and their students and teachers, that he has been elected to advocate for.
for

At the same time he is increasing the charter school budget with Teaneck taxpayer dollars.

Is this corrupt?

You decide.

Out of rightfield - it appears that YOU have made this into a "Black vs Jew issue" Nowhere does Dr Pruitt appear anti semitis or senile! He is stating that interest in the Teaneck public schools must go beyond just taxes!!!

I did not know that grandparents in Teaneck are the definitive decision-maker of where their grandchildren to go school. What is your basis for believing that Dr. Pruitt made the decision to reject the mainline schools, rather than it being a decision of his grandchildren's parents???

You are the racist ORF.

10 lousy posts in the past 12 months and this is the best you can come up with?

Calling him an anti-semite over this is outrageous. I can understand disagreeing with his reasoning, but throwing out that label is something that should be done with some evidence behind it, not thrown at everyone who may disagree with you.
